Dozens of educational tours have been done at the smolt fence, from kindergarten to college classes. Shown here is the Gitanyow Independent School class on a field trip.
Each year hundreds of tourists visit the fence as they travel the highway to Alaska. The KRSEF is located on the property of the Cassiar RV Park, and is a major draw for the facility.
A small number of steelhead salmon were also caught in the fishwheel.
