Chinook salmon are typically the first to migrate through the fence each year. This Chinook is swimming overtop the white teflon bottom of the trapbox.
Connecting the transoms are aluminum panels, with fine enough perforations to prevent movement of the smallest sockeye smolts.
GFA crewmember dipnetting sockeye, which will be sampled for DNA, sex and length before being released to spawn.
